The gallery Dutchman was built at the beginning of the 19th century. The octagonal construction, which stands on a plastered quarry stone floor and is boarded and shingled, has been restored to its original appearance with a cap, "codend" and sail wings that can move in the wind. The gallery is barely visible because it is surrounded by nine low lime trees and a chestnut tree.
The construction date of the mill is only "approximately" known. A miller named Schaaf applied for a concession for a windmill in 1810. In 1816 a lease agreement mentions the intention to build a windmill and in 1820 a land register extract lists a windmill.
